Weston Park Blades Friendly Leagues 2026-2027

Our primary objective is to provide athletes with more opportunities for matchplay, competing against other teams in the South region and beyond. Accordingly the Rules and Regulations are kept to a minimum and the smooth running of the leagues relies on friendly communication and cooperation between the competing clubs.

We aim to continue with the U13, U14, U16 and Open Leagues in 2026-2027 but the final league structure will depend upon the number of entries we receive in each age group.

Before you register please note the following important considerations:

• Commitment: By registering you are committing to playing 7 home and 7 away games during the season
  • Matches should only be cancelled as a very last resort
• Out of Region: We accept registrations from teams outside the Netball South region
  • i.e. Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Sussex
  • However, all games must be played within the Netball South Region, unless the away team agrees to travel outside the Netball South region
  • If you’re outside Netball South, do not underestimate the scale of this commitment in terms of travel and venue hire
• Match Days: We will schedule fixtures for U16 Leagues on Sundays and for U13, U14 and Open Leagues on Saturdays
  • However, fixtures may be rescheduled, without recourse to us, by mutual consent of the teams involved.
• Playing Level: When you register you will be asked whether whether you plan to use the competition for a development or performance team. 
  • Where numbers permit, we will try to group teams accordingly.
• Rules and Regulations: In the spirit of being a Friendly League, rules are kept to a minimum. For example, see the Draft 2026-2027 Rules and Regs, 
• Registration Fee: There is a registration fee of £50.00 per team, payable on acceptance.
• Closing Date: The closing date for Registration is Sunday 14-Jun-2026, one week after the Netball South Qualifying Tournaments.

We will review the composition of the Leagues towards the end of June and hope to publish final allocations by early July. Sadly, we cannot guarantee a place for every team registered.
